FAQ’S
How long should my hair be?
About ¼ inch long or the length of a grain of rice. Two weeks after you last shaved should be good enough. Stubble is extremely hard to remove and will affect desired results.
What is the difference between a Bikini and Brazilian Wax?
A Bikini wax cleans up areas that a bikini does not cover. If you have a specific swimsuit in mind, you can wear it to your appointment, and I will customize the service. A Brazilian removes all hair from the pelvic area, including the butt strip (although this is optional.)
Does it hurt?
Waxing can be uncomfortable but getting them regularly makes them almost painless. If you are worried about it, take 1-2 ibuprofens 20 minutes before your appointment.
How long will results last?
Results last 4-6 weeks depending on wax frequency and personal hair growth.
Can I get waxed on my period?
Yes! Please be aware that you may experience increased sensitivity during and after your appointment. Please use a fresh tampon or insert a menstrual cup before your appointment. Products to freshen up are available upon request.
Can I get waxed if I’m pregnant?
Yes! But, like being on your period, you can experience increased sensitivity. Please speak with your physician before booking your appointment.
Why can’t I get waxed?
You cannot receive a hair removal service if you:
- Have used any Retinol or any other products that increase cell renewal within the past week.
- Are currently using Accutane
- Have sun burn or laser burn on the area to be waxed.
- You have an STI or are experiencing Coronavirus symptoms.
- Are diabetic and have not been cleared by a physician.
- Have any allergies or other medical conditions that could interfere with the hair removal process.
How frequently should I get waxed?
It is suggested that you get waxed every 4-5 weeks depending on personal hair growth. Hair growth is a cycle and I want you to be hair-free as long as possible.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
- Avoid heavy oils and creams before your appointment.
- Gently exfoliate the area to be waxed the night before your appointment.
- If it is your first time, avoid waxing right before a special event, vacation, etc. This way I can treat any issues that may arise after treatment.
- Wear loose fitting clothing to your appointment.
